Ciao! So far - each day of "class" has just been one wonderful trip to museums and landmarks after the other - and today we went to the Or San Michele Tabernacle. It was incredibly beautiful, and I still can't get over how massive and impressive the architecture is - it makes me sad they don't make buildings and churches like they used to. Afterwards, I cooked for my 4 roommates, and 5 other friends - I made my pasta with pancetta and arugula. Cooking with fresh ingredients from the market made it even more delicious than what I think it already is, and everyone loved it. Unfortunately, my roommate who is normally vegan, got sick from it. I made her a "meatless" version, but apparently all the heavy whipping cream she wasn't used to eating made her violently sick. I felt bad, so I bought her gatorade and made her mashed potatoes (without milk haha). Anyways, other then that small mishap, my first real Italian Dinner I cooked went well I thought! I sure am getting a little homesick for some american food though...
