With our rings being ready at the silver shop on the other side of the island we needed to hire a motorbike for the day so we decided to make the most of it and see the north of the island which we haven't yet made it to. We enjoyed cruising around the scenic island but on arrival at the shop, Char's ring was too big (and that's with swollen hands) so it looks like another trip back tomorrow.
After the beach, a run and sunset, we headed to the night market. Char has been trying to find a new bikini for weeks and we know she can be fussy but this time Matt has been on her side. The same highly padded, early teen styles are all that seem to be available. But tonight we found a normal suitable one. The surprise of the evening was the amount of weapons on sale there. Everything from switch blades to daggers to a spring loaded baton to a three sided knife. Why are these things for sale in a market?! It's a bit unnerving to think that people are probably carrying these but this didn't stop Matt testing a few out.
