Day 19! We had a lazy morning in the apartment in Miami before heading for the bus to Orlando. We had planned to leave an hour and 10 minutes to go a 35 minute journey but that was still cutting it close! The road that the bus stop was on was closed, so we had to ask for directions to the temporary one, where the bus was late. The bus was so full that we were getting shouted at for having our bags on, it wasn't fun! Then we had to run for the megabus leaving no time to buy any food for our 4hr40 journey to Orlando.. We arrived in Orlando at 7.40 which was too late to hire a car in the city (Orlando is pretty much impossible to get around without a car) so we then had to get another bus to the airport so we could hire a car. The car hire turned out to be extortionate too, they add on all sorts of sneaky add-ons :( anyway by this point it was 9.30pm and we hadn't eaten since breakfast so we went to the Denny's at the airport for dinner. It's so cheap! I had BBQ chicken wraps, chips and a drink for less than $7. Then we drove to the motel - I'm designated driver and driving here is a lot better than I expected it would be. We have a little Chevrolet and it's lovely to drive, even if it is on the wrong side of the road. We made it to our motel, which... Isn't the best. Dripping taps in the bath and Florida's notorious cockroaches in the bathroom, eeeek! Very glad we're not going to be in the room that much. No exciting sights for the cover photo so tv in the motel room it is! L x
