Day 21! We woke up this morning cockroach free, which was a plus. Maybe because we slept with the lights on in the hope that they'd stay away from the light haha. We headed for a laundromat so we could wash our clothes - I was literally on my last tshirt because nowhere we've been for the last week and a half has had anywhere to wash them! Laundromats here seem to bring out the worst in people, everyone was pushing and shoving and saving dryers, it was a bit crazy. After we finally got our washing done we headed to the outlet malls to have a look around the shops. We spent a couple of hours there then went to the Golden Corral buffet restaurant for lunch/dinner. Unlimited food and soft drinks for $17, the food was pretty good too! Steaks cooked to order, pasta, pizza, salads, southern food, then a huge choice of desserts too. Safe to say we filled up! It's now been 6 hours since I last ate and I'm still stuffed. We took the car back to the airport after that, and had to fill it up with petrol which turned out to be more difficult than in the UK. We spent ages fiddling with the machine trying different cards and everything before we got told you have to prepay for petrol here because so many people would steal it otherwise. Petrol is so cheap here too, it cost us $13 for the whole weekends petrol and we probably drove around 150 miles! I was so sad to leave our little car, it was so lovely to drive! Such a cute wee thing, might consider a Chevrolet when I'm looking to buy a new car. That's why it's the cover photo of the day (plus we didn't see any sights worthy of a picture). We got the bus back to downtown Orlando and headed for our megabus. So we're currently on a 12 hour overnight bus to New Orleans, which could be an interesting trip. It's been fine so far but might be a different story once I try to sleep! We're stopped at Gainesville right now on the bus. I'm sure I'll post an update on how the bus was tomorrow. L x
