Day 30! We got up and had breakfast in our hotel before leaving for the airport - the hotel had a waffle maker that made waffles in the shape of Texas, it was incredible! When we got to the airport it was an absolute shambles, with confusing signs and rude unhelpful staff. But we made it on to our flight and to San Diego successfully! We took a bus downtown and found a hotel to drop our bags at, then wandered along the harbour front past all the expensive yachts to Seaport Village, which was a super cute wee waterfront bit with loads of restaurants and shops. We stopped for lunch at a Greek restaurant and had really good hummus and tzatziki and pitta. We basically spent he whole afternoon wandering around there and downtown San Diego. It's such a beautiful city! We got the trolley out to José's apartment, where he is kindly putting us up for the rest of the week. We went out for dinner with him and his flatmate Thea to a Mexican place in old town where it was taco Tuesday, which meant it was super cheap!! I got 2 pork tacos and 1 chicken taco (the small ones mind) and we got unlimited chips and dip and it was $4.40.. I left the waiter like a 50% tip because I had paid so little! Ha. We are so exhausted after travelling and changing time zones again so tonight wasn't a big night! Super excited for my bed tonight... L x
