We finally arrived in Bangkok last night!
The travel here wasn't too bad, but really long, made worse by a 3 hour delay caused by an emergency landing!
Other than that passport control, baggage and finding a taxi all went smoothly and we made it to the Rikka!
We both decided to go to the pool straight away but only lasted an hour before the jet lag and dehydration meant we went back to the room to drink lots of water and sleep it off!
For our first night we decided to go for a drink in the first bar we went to last time we were here before getting some food, this was also to escape the rain that has just started but became torrential with thunder and lightening! Here we met some nice guys from London and Sweden and four hours later and a fair few drinks the only food I wanted was McDonald's!
We grabbed some food and went for a wander in the next street over where there was a bar with a live band playing covers of chilli peppers, rage and guns and roses so we stayed there for a while before finally deciding to call it a night! I fell asleep straight away while Shane sat outside to people watch for a bit!
Today we woke up late and have decided to have a quiet day by the pool and a quiet night, so we will see what happens!
