We finally made it!
After a 6 hour coach journey, hours of wondering around Heathrow airport and an 11 hour flight that seemed to last forever we are in Bangkok!
I've never been to a large airport or on a long haul flight so Heathrow was an experience in itself! The flight with British Airways was long but so good! They give you all the essentials like blanket and headphones and we had two meals and complimentary drinks!
Would definitely fly with them again!
The whole checking in and arrivals process,that I was dreading the most, all went really smoothly as well!
First thing was a taxi from the airport to Koh San Road. Everyone was really helpful pointing out where to go to get the taxi as there are so many around! It only cost 500baht, about £10, even though it is quite a drive!
We were dropped off at one end of the road and wandered up trying to find the Rikka Inn, trying not to get too distracted by the shops and people asking where your going and staying! We found it and I'm so glad I booked it for our 8 day stay in Bangkok! They let us check early and the room is lovely and clean! The free wifi is a bonus as well!
We landed at 9am Thai time and it is now 5.40pm, and we haven't done much today! We did go to the rooftop pool at the Rikka Inn which was lovely! We soon realised that a few hours sleep here and there on coaches and planes wasn't enough so decided to have a bit of a sleep in a proper bed!
Hopefully tomorrow we will be a bit more rested and used to the new time zone as we have a busy few days coming up!
