Yesterday was really hectic so never got a chance to update!
After what was supposed to be a quiet night in we ended up going out the night before last!
Shane decided to do his neck nomination, which for those who don't know basically involved drinking a whole bucket in one! This was followed by more drinks and a very hungover Shane the next morning. Despite this we still had to be up early for our day trip to the elephant village and tiger temple!
It was the most amazing day ever and well worth the money. We went with a company called Bangkok best travel and they were great, I would highly recommend them!
They picked us up in this lush car, it was huge despite only being for the two of us! We had a driver and then picked up the tour guide who was lovely!
It was a three hour drive which we both fell asleep during.
We went to the elephant village first which was amazing! We rode on the back of an elephant with one of the guys who worked there and then rode it for a bit just the two of us! After this we got to ride another elephant into the water and bath it! I can't put into words how incredible it was!
Once we had finished there we went to the tiger temple. Here we got to see some of the larger tigers and with the guides we had pictures take. After with a group of four others we saw some of the cubs, who were so cute! Here we could pick them up and play with them and got to feed them at the end! It was awesome!
Before leaving we got to spend some time having pictures with some more of the older ones.
After this we stopped for an incredible lunch at a really lovely restaurant before heading to the bridge over the river Kwai. At least I think that's how you spell it! We also looked in the museum here which was really interesting. After this we did the long drive home which again we both slept through!
We were both pretty tired by this point so after a bit of food we had an early night!
Today was also quite eventful so I will write another blog post for that!
