We spent the day in Rotorua. Firstly we went to the museum in the Bath House. We had a guide who went on a bit but parts of the museum were really interesting. We then went to Te Puia, a Maori cultural centre with a geyser. The last blog I did was Saturday morning outside the library, sitting on their lawn. Can be difficult to get WI Fi in some places. We spent Saturday in Whitianga, exploring town and harbour. On Thursday we visited the site where the Treaty between the British and Maori chiefs was signed in 1840, Waitangi. Very historical and interesting. We drove into Paitha and caught a ferry across to Russell. Yesterday we moved on.
