We drove to Dunedin along the Southern Scenic Route, which became quite spectacular. We stopped at various points - Maclean Falls, Cathedral Caves and Florence Hill to name a few. The bays were all beautiful. We stopped at Nuggett Point, the site of an old lighthouse and looked down on to the rocks were there were just masses of seals. Loads of birds too, which we think we're possibly spoonbills. As we drove away there wasa lone penguin on the each. Somany amazing sights again.
This whole route was stunning, known as The Catlins.
Weather was still a bit dull and chilly. We spent the night in Dunedin and walked into the city the next day. Visited the museum and then went on a train through the Taieri Gorge. We travelled through tunnels and over viaducts.
Last few days in New Zealand and then on to Hong Kong. It is going so quickly now.
