Has just seen my first 'Jay walking' kangaroo!!! Although by the looks of this picture, I am the kangaroo whisperer!
Went out to toodyay with imagele, Marion and their new German backpacker frayer! There was two pubs both with 3 customers who displayed their bald heads and long beards! One had no music at all whilst the other had two bogan old men who appeared to have been drinking for at least 72 hours singing on stage and playing the harmonica with a woman filming it on her phone! We decided to get some food and after frayer realised she could eat for three days in Thailand for the same price, she ordered the salad! Her face like a smacked arse became even more sour when her dinner arrived with a live, walking bug!!! I'm still laughing now at imagele telling her to 'get over it cos she's in Australia now' and watching her eat round the lettuce the bug once called home, was priceless!!! Needless to say we were home by 11.30!!!
Next day i went out for lunch with Julie and her sisters for her birthday! Carey who once managed a cattle station informed me that they fly around their 500 mile square station in their helicopter to find where the cattle are! The cattle mainly stay in small groups relatively near to a windmill (water hole) and twice a year they round them up on horses, sounds slight more difficult than Geoffrey bulls job!!! Ferrel animals such as horses, cows, camels etc will also find it's way onto their land and these animals are culled so they do not eat the pasture and drink the water that is already in short supply during the summer months! They do this by shooting the main female and waiting for all the other horses to come and see where she is!!!
