Kya Travels
Seeing as we didn't make it home until 5am last night, we had a bit of a sleep in today. And by that I mean we didn't even wake up until 1pm! When we woke up we decided we were feeling a little too lousy to make the trip out to the beach, so stayed in instead. Darren and I went for a walk around the corner to find some food, Darren was craving greasy pizza! We sat at a restaurant that we'd avoided so far, Le Printemps, because the guy who talked to us there when we were looking at the menu the other day had been a bit rude. So we got ourselves a table, and the waiter that served us was a different guy, but still totally rude. You could tell he did NOT want to be there! Darren ordered his pizza and I ordered a salad, and we started chatting to a couple of girls on the table next to us about the waiter! They were getting the same treatment, and were from Austria, so maybe it was a 'why-don't-you-speak-French' thing... We got our food, and Darren's pizza had been cooked to death, but he ate it anyway. After lunch we went back to the hotel, where I used their computer to print our boarding passes, then chilled in the room and played some guitar. Eventually, around dinner time, we all got some motivation up and walked into the city and to the Indian restaurant, Maharaja, again. We sat downstairs, then changed to upstairs cos it was so hot, then had another amazing dinner there. After dinner we said goodbye to our new buddies, who had been quite happy to see us back, and walked down the street to an English pub where we sat down and had a drink while watching the soccer game between Bordeaux and some other French town. We headed back to the hotel after that, and semi packed our bags. Amy discovered that a pair of her undies that she'd had drying on the balcony had fallen down to the window below! That was pretty funny. Then after hanging out a little bit longer, we went to bed to get a few hours sleep before our train and plane journeys in the morning.
