This morning we woke up and tried to book an extra night, but they had no availabilities, so we packed and checked out and left our bags in the luggage room. I woke up this morning when Darren told me he was heading to the hospital for an ear ache. And as soon as he woke me up I found I had it too! World of pain. So we went to walk to the hospital together, and had to ask a lady for directions, who told us about a doctor service that visits you in your hotel, so we went back and asked about that. I think it wasn't available because it was a Sunday, but I also think the guy at reception didn't know what we were talking...

We had a bit of a sleep in today before getting up and walking down to a metro station that I discovered was much closer to the hostel, Anvers. We got the train to Charles de Gaulle and got on the escalator to exit, and as we were riding to the top, the Arc de Triomphe came up into view. It's pretty impressive. We got up very early this morning, packed our bags and walked down to the tram stop. The tram I was looking for didn't go from there so we walked down a few blocks and found the right one. We got another connecting tram to get to the Amstel train station, and both trams had ticket inspectors who didn't check our tickets! Awesome.
