As it was going to be a very hot day ahead of us we set of at 6.30am to explore Windjana Gorge. Kids had shoes on, sunscreened up and we had lots of water. We are leaving Broome this morning and going through Derby to the Gibb river road. A section of the road had been closed due to bush fires but we found out this morning it was now open. Had we not had camper trouble and headed there after Cape Leveque we may have been in the middle of them so we were lucky I guess. Today we were all up early again so we packed our beach gear and some lunch and set off for a day trip north to Quondong Point. Lovely spot with cleared campsites scattered along the beach frontage.
