Sal and I went on a sunset cruise with the girls last Saturday arvo. Was a great night with lots of laughs and a few drinks. Was very windy out on the water but still beautiful. Only downfall was the cruise finished just before the actual sunset so we missed some great photo opportunities out in the water. We went to the pub for a couple more drinks afterwards and I got back to camp just in time before it was my turn for Caleb's bug ;(
Had another couple of quiet days at camp while I had the gastro bug. Glad we had a site close to the toilets ;) for the first time I was missing my comfy bed at home! Feeling a bit drained of energy with the kids and still feeding Archie through the night. Have had to give him a bottle during the day, would like to breast feed longer if I can though so have also introduced some baby cereal also. He gets very excited when he see's it... not sure how much he is actually eating though ;)
Shaun got to go fishing on 3 separate days which was great. Caleb and the kids loved going over to the filleting station waiting for them and looking at all the big fish they caught. Caleb was stoked to be able to get a photo with a couple of the big ones.
The dads took the kids fishing on Rusty's boat on Wednesday and they all had a ball and caught a fish each.
Thursday Shaun and I took the kids on the sub sea explorer to see the coral and fish from the bottom of the boat. They loved looking at all the different coral and spotting the different species of fish.
For tea we all went to Finns cafe as they had cooked up all the fish wings from the fish the boys had caught. Was nice to catch up with everyone again for dinner.
Friday was Zane's 1st birthday!! He had a great day and we had a lil party for him with the rest of the kids in the park. Zane loved his ice cream cake and all the kids played some great games and got all sugared up from the lollies ;) How cool that he'll be able to say he celebrated his 1st bday on the other side of Aus in coral bay!
Saturday morning some friends were leaving so we said our goodbyes. It was our last day as well so we spent most of the day packing up camp and sal and I treated the kids to ice creams and spiders in the arvo :)
For dinner we took fresh fish down to the beach to cook on the BBQ and watch the sun set over the ocean one last time! Us and our dinner nearly got blown away and the low cloud stopped the sunset but it was still lovely :)
Really hope we get back here one day. Have met some lovely people that have welcomed us and the kids into there coral bay family. Next time I think we'll just fly over though :)
