The first two hours today were grueling. Even getting out of town was uphill. My calves, glutes and shoulders were screaming, and I wondered if I could really do this. But, after about 2 hours I settled in and felt pretty good the rest of my day.
I arrived in Los Arcos around 2:20. I got a bit of a late start this morning and it took 6.5 hours to walk 13.4 miles. Surely no record but better than the previous two days. And, I feel great! Nothing hurts too badly. After showering I could still walk and so I looked around town for awhile.
Los Arcos is a small village - pop 1,200. Is an old walled city with Roman origins and portions of the wall remain in tact.
I found a room at a private pension and it's good. Everything is closed until 6:30 for siesta. I will go to the small market and buy water and maybe fruit for tomorrow, have dinner and call it a day.
