Omg! I just ate nearly a half a bag of potato chips!! Well it wasn't a family sized bag. It was something between a single serving size and family size bag.
My feet are so tired. The walk today was longer than I thought - maybe a mile and a half or two more. And, they were hard miles. Not really hilly but just long. I arrived at the hotel approx 1 minute before Jim walked into the lobby. What are the odds of that? I'd walked 7.5 hours and he drove 2.5 hours from Madrid, stopped for lunch on the way, and we arrived at nearly the same time. Crazy.
We have a beautiful room/suite, overlooking the river with a big tub (I had a hard time getting out of) and bathrobes. Omg, it's been awhile since I had a hot bath and then a bathrobe (& half a bag of potato chips!).
It's raining now & I'm not walking in it! Life is good.
Tomorrow I will have coffee! My first cup since leaving Asheville. Last night I had dinner with two women from the US. I mentioned that I hadn't had coffee this whole trip because at home my husband always brings me coffee in bed (I know, how spoiled can I be?) and forging for coffee was too much trouble. One of the women replied she was surprised that I could travel to Spain and walk the Camino on my own but I couldn't manage to get a cup of coffee! We all have our limits!
Tomorrow is a zero mile day as Jim and I drive to Sarria.

Jane Love your stories and reflections. Wonder how the experience will change now that you have a walking companion.
Lynn Oh wow, I am very happy to hear that Jim has arrived safely and You are pampering yourself. I can't wait to walk with you once you are home. You will really push me! Enjoy your day off! Love you both.
Diane So did you have the free beer?! I love the sign! Have fun with Jim, and tell him I've missed seeing him on my morning walks. I'm really enjoying your insights and admissions (about being spoiled for example). Thank you for sharing it all in your blog.
