Worst journey of my LIFE... We were looking forward to this bus journey as was meant to be the shortest we have done. Big mistake! To cut a long story short after being on four different 'circus' buses we were told there would be a two hour wait in Surat Thani as the bus wasn't available, or we could pay extra to get an earlier one that would get us there the time we were already told! Noway were we paying anymore as they were just trying to rip us off (MASSIVE thing in Thailand) we argued that we wouldn't and he took the complete huff with us, now we know why we were put on the most horrendous journey ever! I can only describe it as a Thai service bus that took us fifteen hours!! All I can say is karma for the man that put us on it... It filled with smoke at one point and we thought we were going to die there was a loud bang and the tyre had exploded! Also realised the next morning they had been in my bag and stolen a mobile phone out of my vanity case by making a hole in the lining so so sly!! Grrr!

Anyways once we arrived at the Loveli Boutique Guesthouse in Patong we were greeted by Andrew and Neil, two very friendly owners who took our bags up and gave us complimentary drinks! We were over the moon to find a selection of DVDs that we could watch in our room - something we miss doing at home! We picked Hangover and The Beach to start - both very appropriate Thailand films!! The room we had included lots of home comforts it felt great! It was late when we arrived so nightlife would have to wait until the next day... We had four nights here and absolutely loved it!! It was busy on Bangla Road on a night time and easy to make new friends as they had tourist/traveller nights in certain bars and clubs where NO seedy goings on or ladyboys were allowed. The beach was also really busy during the day it was nice but not the cleanest, the amazing sunset made up for it though and we stayed here drinking beer a few nights! The Jungceylon Shopping Mall was another highlight, we were so excited and spent a lot of time here eyeing up things to buy! Seen the most original Marilyon Monroe swimsuit I wanted it but it was gone the next day :(... What we have seen of Phuket we really like so definitely coming back here before we leave! Booked our flight to Singapore from here, hopefully we can get booked into the Loveli Boutique again!
