Our original plan was to stay in Koh Tao after the full moon party but because everyone else makes the same plans only very expensive accommodation was left and the ferry was fully booked! We really wanted to see the island so booked a day trip including snorkelling...
Got picked up early doors and still managed to have chocolate croissants from Seven Eleven! We arrived at the pier where doorstep cheese sandwiches were waiting (YAK) and grey cups of tea (YAK) this was our complimentary breakfast although really they shouldn't have bothered! But never mind we boarded the busy boat to find there were no seats, standing seemed like a good idea but I was wind swept after two minutes!! An old couple kindly made room for us to sit as all the other rude people were sprawled across four seats (obviously not English.) Finally we arrived and were in the group to go snorkelling first! We hopped onto another boat and went to the top deck to sunbathe until we got to Koh Tao. The guide who kept making a joke of 'I'm not gay by boyfriend is' had everyone involved and laughing!! He promised we would see sharks and me being gullible almost believed him... Also said not to steal any coral or shells as it is a national park! I was dying to pick some up but thought I would get very wrong!! This was my first time snorkelling, Lucy seem like a pro but I just kept worrying about my hair! I did really enjoy it though was such a weird but wonderful experience when we were surrounded by loads of fish!! I'm sure the little things were biting me too... Koh Tao itself is an amazing place so gutted we didn't stay here for a few nights.
Next stop was Koh Nangyuan which was something else!! The island is known as one of the most beautiful in the world and the viewpoint shows everyone exactly why! It was a steep walk up and we passed lots of expensive looking huts where honeymooners come so we were told not to go to close to them! I didn't think we would make it to the top as needed to do a bit of rock climbing and in Havaianas this was tricky but after pretending there was noway I could get up a few people kindly helped me... It was so worth it probably one of the best views I've ever seen!! The sea and sand looked completely different to anywhere else it really did look like paradise and lucky for us we had free time on the beach... Inbetween seeing the different islands we had our dinner which again they REALLY shouldn't have bothered! The food on trips is always a let down but I suppose they need to feed a lot of hungry people so what they serve is basic plus I am the fussiest person ever!! We both loved this trip was a fantastic day would definitely recommend doing it or even better go stay on Koh Tao which is what I will be doing next time...
