Happiness Is The Road
We slept soundly and awoke to the comforting jet roar of the ocean breaking in Yallingup Bay. After brekky we went back to Injidup where we had gone a couple of days ago. It wasn't raining or overcast at the moment and the view we had from here over to Canal Rocks was immense. It was still very windy though and the ocean was angry. It was very dramatic here with the sea cresting white and slamming big breakers onto the rocks. We watched the ocean in awe of it's resplendently rugged beauty. We had a walk around and scrambled over the rocks and found a little area where the sea blasting in had become trapped and turned into foam. There was a big frothing rock pool of dirty brown foam. It was a wonderful sight. I couldn't resist dipping in and messing about. It was filthier than I thought and I was soon covered in the stuff much to Jay's dismay! I had it all over my hands, face, hair, shoes, t shirt, shorts, socks, legs and even my nose. After Jay cleaned me up we scrambled over to the other side of the rocks and watched the huge swell and pounding waves some more. We eventually retreated to the camper van when the clouds over the sea darkened and threatened rain. We made it back to shelter just in time. We had some lunch with the rain tinkling down and then headed back to the caravan park. It was a case of chilling out for the rest of the day.
