Cristina leaves and we decide to stay one more night

Cristina left this morning on the bus back to Cuenca. Mom and I were undecided on whether or not we were going to stay another night another night but I talked mom into doing the tubing. This day we met Juan Carlos, who is the husband of Shanti, the woman I have been communicating with on the Internet. He spoke English which was a plus and took us for an amazing jungle walk down the scorching highway to a trail that mom could not walk through. She did make it about 10 m into the jungle and she said that was enough of a Jungle walk for her!
We tried to enter another jungle reserve but the dang door was locked. Then this..... Probably one of the most dangerous things I've ever seen children doing, they were on the highway tossing buckets of water at speeding vehicles with open windows doing at least 80 km an hour.... Crazy Carnival!!!
After we returned from our amazing jungle walk we loaded up the tubes into the truck and went to the spot to launch them. On the way there one of the tubes flew out of the truck and popped a hole in it! So Juan Carlos and his little brother had to share a tube!!! So as were getting into the river there's a group of girls with a guide and Juan is asking him a bunch of questions because it's been over a year since he's taking anybody tubing.
Mom didn't freak out too bad until she almost got sucked into the black hole.... We also hit a boulder and then got stuck on the rocks because we took the shallow route. We made it back safe and sound anyway and had a lot of fun! Later that night for dinner we had a traditional takeout from town!?!?!
It was a steamed fish and yuca, not necessarily mom's favourite! Again, this night we played crazy eights with our lady friend from the tribe.
