Cool fireworks As part of the 15 day celebration going on in Chachapoyas, for three nights in a row there was amazing fire works displays. Each night better than the one before. Giant towers made out of bamboo covered in fireworks are carefully put together so they start from the bottom and go all the way to the top! It's really quite impressive and amazing!

Hauncos and Canon Del Sonche On Karina's day off we decided to walk to the next town around 7 km away, Huancos. It was a beautiful walk and the attraction in Huancos is a lookout point over a very spectacular valley. When we returned to Chachapoyas we met up with Karina's friend Eliana, and with her three kids we all went down to the fair, played some games and ate some treats!!! It was a very fun day.

Guitar skills..... Some funny ladies staying in the hotel that heard me playing my guitar just loved my music..... Lol They just had to have a picture with me, what can I say.......

Volunteer with the scouts I had been inquiring around town possible volunteer opportunities, and was told to meet at the municipal building Saturday morning. About a dozen kids from the local scouts showed up and we went to their greenhouse, where they are growing an assortment of plants and vegetables to sell to go on a field trip. It didn't last long but it was fun. They said stop by next Saturday if I was still in town!

I also met Eliana, a friend of Karina's, who invited me out one day to watch some dancing and have a few beers.
