Back to Cuenca Our bus was at one or two in the afternoon so we had a late checkout for my hotel got a bite to eat and got the bus back to Guayaquil. Saw some para gliders on the way back too. Just like the bus ride there pretty much right off one bus and right onto another after a little bite to eat and we were back to the house by eight or 9 o'clock. It was a really good weekend trip!

Bye bye mom! What a great seven weeks! She woke up this morning feeling much better so we were both extremely happy about this! Even though the last two days of her trip were not ideal, she felt healthy enough to fly home. We took a taxi to the airport a little later than we would've had liked, but she checked into her flight no problems and before you knew it I had to leave otherwise I would miss the night bus to Cuenca. Hospital or not??? She still wasn't feeling that well but wasn't feeling bad enough to go to the hospital! I went to the pharmacy and picked up some stuff to hopefully make her tummy feel better and in the end she decided to not go to the hospital and we just relaxed most the day. In a country that loves soccer so much I was surprised to see this funny photo in our hotel so I took a picture of it.

Back to Quito, market in the park and tummy issues.... We made it back to Quito no problems can checked into our hotel. We headed to the big park where we had seen a small market set up the previous day, realizing we had a bit of room left in the luggage I wanted to find a nice alpaca blanket for myself and we did!!! Crazy Saturday Otavalo market, balcony photo shoot, Peguche waterfall, no hot springs and one last street food experience.....
