Off to the Amazon!

We planned on taking the public transportation to the bus station but as the buses came by we could see it was not possible as they were packed full of people, so we took a cab. The Quito bus station was a pretty impressive building and we didn't have to wait too long before we were on our bus to Tena. We arrived in Tena with no problems and met a guy who said his parents owned the hostel and helped me carry one of the bags there! Well it turned out he was just looking for some commission and we had already reserved the place before hand. After we settled in we went for a walk around the town and over the bridge to Parque la Isla, but it was closed due to construction so we didn't get our jungle walk in this day. We found a really great bar on the other side of the river and enjoyed the atmosphere for a while.
