The pic is the view from our appartment overlooking the river. We've done the tourist tuk journey around the city with our new best friend Miguel. It's small for a capital city but lots to see. The cathedral which is one minute from our appartment is very modest compared with lots of the Spanish churches. The market is very good with lots of places to eat and a cookery school as past of it. We went to Belem and went to see their modern art museum. Lots of 20th century stuff ...so behind us now. Went on the tram which is the locals way of getting around. Evening in Graca and a fish restaurant recommended by Miguel which was average but enjoyed eating and watching Benfica against Bayern Munich. Our Camino trips always seem to involve football. Good match but lots of disappointment for the locals as the 2 -2 wasn't enough to to get them through. Tomorrow is fado night by Roger's request as there are so many fado clubs around. Not sure I'm going to enjoy lots of women singing about life's disappointments. I remain foolishly optimistic.
