Today was such a great day- Holly, Alex, Myself, and a couple of our friends we met here in Ireland at the University did a Paddy Wagon tour to the Cliffs of Moher. I have always wanted to see these cliffs, it has always been on my bucket list. These cliffs were just gorgeous- no picture could ever do it justice. We started our day pretty early, walking into the city around 7:30am to meet the Paddy Wagon bus for 8:30am. We got there in pleanty of time and got seats close to the front (had the best view on the bus of course). Our tour guide and driver was HILARIOUS. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We stopped in a few places on our way to the cliffs- Limerick, (the smaller cliffs), and a cute little pub about a half hour away from the cliffs. We stopped there for lunch in the pub and got to stretch our legs. The cliffs were only about 2 hours away from where we are here in cork, but to make it a day trip and worth our money we made a bunch of stops along the way. We got to see almost all of Limerick City, a few castles alongs the way, and then we were finally at the Cliffs. The Cliffs were BEYOND gorgeous and were nothing like the pictures- even though pictures are GORGEOUS. We lucked out because the sun was shining and there were barely any winds (compared to what they have been used to lately there). The cliffs were hundreds of feet up from the Atlantic ocean- hearing the waves echo as they crashed was pretty neat, becaues you could tell how powerful and strong it was. We took a lot of great pictures and walked all along the cliffs for almost two hours. The two hours went by so fast... we could have stayed there for a few more. Even though there wasn't much to do besides walk around and just look- it was AMAZING and literally took my breath away. It was beyond beautiful and one of the most perfect days- we really did luck out. We had a few hours journey home, hit A LOT of traffic- but our tour driver made it fun and was hilarious. Singing to the songs on his ipod- we were dying. It was the funniest thing ever. And he also played Galway Girl for Holly, Alex, and I :) And then I of course PASSED the hell out the rest of the ride. It was a really busy day and was a fully scheduled and packed day- but it was definately worth it. We had a blast and had the chance to see some of the most beautiful scenary Ireland Has to Offer! ... Now I can't wait to crash and go to bed!
Until Next time,
Cheers!
