A worrying bout of SVT whilst in bed before going to sleep. Then a bad dream. Then woke up with a headache. Not good eh!
It can only get better.
Decided to make a side excursion to Fontainbleau as it was only 90 kms away. Took it easy but the only frustrating part of the journey was that there were some major roadworks and the road was blocked and there were no signs where to deviate. The sat nav just wanted to navigate you back to the road block again. Somehow got out of it and made Fontainbleau.
The guidebook describes this 1900 room chateau as on of the most beautifully ornamented and furnished chateaux in France. Despite the ornateness and history I found it soulless.
On the way back ended up going on the toll road which cost nearly 7e. Tanked up with diesel 132.6e. 80 litres. But I had done 750 miles which is the most I have ever done on one tank.Because the roads are good it makes for better driving.
Aimed for a municipal Campsite which turned out to be no longer there, just an overgrown field. Went back to one I saw earlier. Nice spot next to the Loire but basic. Paid 17e too much for what it is. On the way in saw loads of little rabbits so Sach had to be kept on the lead.
The weather was nice today but started to drizzle at 9pm and now nearly 11 pm it is raining heavily.
