hi
We were picked up at 10am after we managed to brave the showers in the Ocean Child, well i had to try and warm myself up somehow. Joy gave us a good deal, for a very old Magna, and what a banger of a car it was but if it gets us around for the week, fantastic! We decided to head for Port Arthur to begin with, which turned out to be a bit of a waste of time but we did pass some beautiful scenery. $22 to walk around some old ruins of a prison, for yet another talk about how we shipped our convicts over here, no thank you. I reckon the ghost tour would have been fun though, you should have seen some of the photos. We had lunch on White Beach which was nice and then started the long drive to Freycinet National Park. We stopped off at Spikey Bridge for photos.Looking onto the Freycinet Peninsular over the Great Oyster Bay, the sky looked amazing as the sun was beginning to set. On arrival at Coles Bay, in the dark we were told that there was no where left for us to stay, so it looked like the car was our best bet. We were able to find the bar on the site though and i don't know how we did it but we were able to make a half of lager last 1.5hrs, yes i reckon it must be a world record. We had the most uncomfortable night sleep ever and i'll not tell you how we managed without a toilet. It will all be worth it for our trip to Wineglass Bay tomorrow though. Love Clairexxxxx
