Hello again!

We got an early start for our trip to Tasmania, i was so excited. On arrival, my first impressions of the place as we drove through to Hobart was how picturesque it was, very lush and green, i knew i was going to like it. We were dropped off at Central City Backpackers which is up 2 flights of stairs and with a backpack on the size of ours it was not the best idea we have had. To make things worse the place was a dump so back down the stairs we went. The Ocean Child was to be our next stop. As we were walking up the street or should i say crawling like tortoises, a lovely man saw the pain we were in and offered to give us a lift. How nice was that! Well needless to say we made the wrong decision yet again, Central City Backpackers was a palace compared to this place. We didn't have the energy to go anywhere else though, and after all it was only for the 1 night. How bad could it be? Unfortunately, we couldn't find work so we decided to hire a 2nd hand car and whizz around the island in a week. After a few beers and a bag of chips we headed back to the Ocean Child, it was just rancid. Lots of brown carpet pieces fitted together, chipboard wallpaper will stains all over it and well the less said about the toilets and showers the better. To top it off, it was sooooooooooo cold, i'll be lucky if i had 3hrs sleep. Still it was a laugh, but i won't be going back there in a hurry.
