Melbourne has been buzzing for the last week as its Grand Prix weekend although we can't afford to go, there is a good atmosphere around the city.

Its also the Melbourne International Comedy Festival soon and we went to one of the heats the other day. It was a brilliant night (some aussies actually do have a sense of humour after all!). We spent the night watching from a darkened corner just in case we got picked on by one of the comedians.

We went horseriding on Tuesday, it has to be one of the highlights of the trip so far! We travelled for two and half hours to get to the horseriding centre which was situated on the beautiful Mornington Penninsula. We went with Andy who has been horseriding before unlike ourselves. You can imagine what the looks on our faces were like when we were introduced to the beasts. Claire was lucky enough (or so she thought) to get a small young horse that was as fat as it was tall! Anna (after specifically requesting a horse that she could sit on and still have her feet on the ground) ended up with a big, and we mean BIG shire horse. After the first initial nervousness had worn off we started to relax as we made our way down to the beach, however, Helen the horse leader instructed us to start gallopping, so off gallopped Helen and Andy............Anna and Claire however must have been on the most stubborn horses in the world because could we make them move? Not on your life! It didn't matter how much we kicked shouted, or were nice these animals just would not move any fast than a slow walk. We eventually reached the beach and just as we were admiring the gorgeous coast line, Claire's horse suddenly began to gallop and at the sight of that Anna's also started to do the same. Clinging onto the back of a horse for dear life was actually quite good fun and even though it feels like our bums and thighs will never be the same again we will definately be going horse riding again.

The rest of the day was spent walking along the beach and catching the sun it really was a fun day out! Laurie if you are reading this it was Anna, Claire and Andy's DAY OF FUN!!!!
