Last night was another great night had by all- it ended with us all curled up asleep by the fire in the common room before someone came and told us to wake up and go back to our rooms! Today we decided to get out of Queenstown a little bit- but only so we could get some better views of it! We went for a 3 hour walk up Queenstown Hill which was a steep climb but we got what we were hoping for when we reached the top! Awesome views of the Remarkable's mountain range and of little Queenstown nestled in the hills beside a monster of a lake called Wakatipu. QT is world renowned as being the backpacker hub of New Zealand and a place where everyone goes out at night to have a good time, which is definitely true! But sometimes what gets forgotten is how beautiful the place actually is- its nothing like we expected as you don't expect somewhere with lots of bars and clubs to be so scenic! Tomorrow we're catching the bottom bus to do a 3 day trip to Dunedin, Invercargill and Milford Sound, then back to our beloved Queenstown for 2 nights before heading towards Christchurch to end our amazing journey around New Zealand...not long now!
