Awoke VERY slowly as a consequence of yesterday's Tropfest festivities.
Eventually crawled out of the house to walk to Bondi Junction, visiting 2 coffee establishments on the way. Both had varying success in rousing us.
After a short train ride to town hall, we go on a quick jaunt to spot the Chinese Lanterns set up all around town for Chinese New Year. As we wander from location to location, it occurs to us that we have missed them. We saw a Tiger at QVB & and Ox at the top of St Martins' place though.
General window shopping was then had, as we spent time before enjoying Evensong at St Andrews Cathedral, next to the Town Hall. A boys only service, it was quite ropey truth be told! But it's a new year, new boys, new start. The service here is identical to that of an English Anglican evensong. Unfortunately, our hymn singing enjoyment was hampered by a chap behind us who absolutely belted it out. Typical baritones....
Having worked up a hunger, we wandered down to nearby China Town for some din dins - South Korean DIY BBQ was our ultimate choice. TASTY! (...and also, SO FULL)
Once we had eaten, we pokes around Darling Harbour, and enjoyed more Chinese New Year lanterns. So pretty!
Train back home, and bed.
