flavour tripping
Went out for dinner to an Italian. The smell of the wood burning oven was too hard to resist.
They even gave us an amuse bouche. This is not a fancy place so this was really nice treat. It was fish pâté. Like baked jack fish with black pepper on a bed of tomatoes and basil. Really refreshing. Even The silver fox who dislikes the fish pates of peppered mackerel that I adore was complimentary.
Pineapple juice was my drink. Very island style.
