Tao Philippines Lunch on the beach Vegetable coconut curry Okra banana yams green beans. Everything was cooked al dente and the coconut curry sauce was slightly sweet.

Tao Philippines Lunch on boat Banana flower salad. This salad had onion soy vinegar sweet taste. The sweet sour balance was prevalent. No overpowering bitterness from the flower rather a nicely balanced sweet bitter taste from vinegar and sugar. Assuming there was nam pla in there too. I don't know what the rich colour is from. Must find out.

Tao Philippines Lunch on boat Jack fish and lapu lapu in a red onion and ginger sauce. All steamed in a tiny kitchen on the boat. Perfectly cooked juicy fresh fragrant fish.

Tao Philippines Lunch on boat Tiger prawns in a sweet garlicy syrupy. Oh wow these are heaven. We fought over them :)

Breakfast on Bass island. Some left over dried shrimp were found for Nik who was a huge fan. These had been drying in the sun all day and the fish salty taste had amplified considerably :) a tricky flavour for the early morning :)
