Finished our massive meal in lavender hawker then on way home we stopped at the Indian hawker and got this pancake. They don't serve it with sugar normally but it's really tasty. Good laugh with the guys who own the stalls. They thought i was a bit mad getting sugar, then laughed heartily when i said id eaten it a few days ago too :) It was the same stall we went to v v late on the first night here. Can't believe the amazing food we ate here. So much variety.

Bbq'd chicken :) Soy glazed.

Poached chicken with rice. An example of how a ridiculously simple dish can be perfect :) Rice had a lovely chicken stock taste to it.

Chilli clams. On first glance not many clams. Felt like an underage drinker demanding more vodka when I asked for more :) they all laughed at me. :) The clams were all in the sauce :) Rich chilli clam sauce. Heaven. None of the Tabasco type of chilli hot. More a deep rich spicy flavour. Kept dipping our dumplings in it :)

Papaya rolls. Served as a savoury dish but I think they are a perfect dessert. They were a sweet potato type sweetness and texture. Slightly crispy flaky savoury pastry roll. Bit dry for me. Maybe a tamarind sauce on the side would help.
