Next 2 days were spent taking it easy. Plenty of dips in the pool. I changed cp's 'cos $35 a night was a touch steep. Unfortunately a new problem has arisen. Unable to zip up the cover on the camper. Bought tie-downs to tide me over. Last day in Kununurra before heading into the Bungles we visited Wyndham listed as the 'Top Town in the West'. Not much there but they did have a cafe called the Tin or maybe Rusty Shed. Whilst it is indeed a tin shed it has loads of charm, serves excellent scones - and is air-conditioned! Up the road a little was a 2nd-hand shop with a very perky proprietor. Walls were filled with interesting stuff. Copies of the Sun headlines for world events & photos of people who got to close to salties! Next door was an art gallery with the artist at home. She turned out to have been a recent victim of a croc attack (& has the scars to prove it), albeit a freshie. Steve purchased a children's book illustrated by her & she signed it 'Croc Bait'. The recipient will have a story to tell!
Returned to Kununurra to pack the car for the Bungles. The camper will be left at the cp while we're away.
