All done! Arrived home 1.30pm. Geraldton to Melbourne is around 4,000km's which took almost 8 days with pretty lousy weather really - cold wet & windy. Makes me wonder why I came south at all! It was an excellent adventure in all aspects and whets the appetite for the next instalment. Stay tuned.

Nothing to report. Simply taking the most direct route back to Melbourne. Checked out the Nullabour Links at various places - $70 for the right to play at 16 locations. The adventure is over. All that remains is getting home as quickly as possible. Had to hang around Geraldton to get the car serviced. The weather became wet & windy & now as I go inland cold as well. Zero as recorded by the car when I awoke this morning. Steve tells me there is more of the same waiting for me. Have already knocked a 1000km's off the required 3800 to get home. Had a free camp on the Murchison River before going into Kalbarri & meeting up with Steve & Yvonne albeit briefly. They are heading off next morning on their way to Kalgoorlie and home. Kalbarri has been spoilt - with it's river gorges, ocean gorges, perfect bay with white sandy beaches etc etc. It is all so accessible that there is no challenge. My travelling companions wimped out & booked into a CP in Denham whereas I took the risk & went direct to the Peron NP, hoping to get a camp site. Got lucky & didn't have to drive out! A brilliant place to 'get away from it all' with great beaches, perfect quietness & stunning sunsets. All tracks within the park are very sandy! Steve & Yvonne visited next day.
