Slept better but still somewhat fragile - but on the improve. We returned to Kununurra & booked in for a further 3 nights before tackling the Gibb River Road. Aside from a couple of minor mishaps which I need not dwell on, our time here has been most pleasant. Have checked out most of the local points of interest - springs, waterfalls etc. Steve has checked out the rum business - in fact he may still be there!
Tomorrow we depart for Derby via the Gibb with diversions for Mitchell Falls & maybe Kalumburu. Probably no blog update til Derby.
The boab in the pic is in the cp & is 2000 years old (no rings so they carbon date) and looks very healthy.

JG Hi Al, Pleased to hear you are feeling a bit healthier. Perhaps you should have spent more time with Steve amongst the rum. Was used to heal lots of ills in that remote place. Bit cheesed off with the weather you're having. Nice hot days. Hope you're maintaining your golf touch when you get a chance. JG
