Hello,

Well since my last blog I have now been at the project for two nights. I have not actually done any teaching yet as I arrived on the friday night and teaching is only monday to friday, so I have had a chance to explore the city a bit.

I am sharing a room with another volunteer called Jennifer, she has been here about 6 weeks so is able to show me the ropes. Our room is on the same floor as the students dorms so I have met quite a few of them as I walk past. The major shock came when I found out that there is not HOT water, our showers are cold! But as its actually so hot outside constantly its not so bad!

Yesterday I went with Jen around the city. We walked around the main part of the city centre and did a brief tour of all the major malls, they are huge! and the air-conditioning is very welcome! We then went onto the Petronas Towers and into the food court and mall underneath. We then decided to finish the day by going to Little India, however it was quite disappointing in relation to China Town , there was one street of Indian shops and that was it!
