FARFRUMWURKEN
Today was dentist day in Merida. I thought I'd check out the local dental scene so I booked an appointment for just a cleaning at Dental of Merida with Dr. Eduardo J. Rodriguez Castellanos (wow) located at Calle 5-B x 20-B y 20-C Xcumpich, Merida Yucatan. Thankfully Bob drove us to get there or we'd likely never have found it. We arrived at 3:00 pm for our 4:00 pm appointment and the front door was locked. It was a very modern, contemporary building, but concerned us a little that there were NO cars in the parking lot and the doors locked. We patiently took a seat in the shade and waited - sure enough a few people started showing up at the adjacent spa on the 2nd floor, so we knew we were good. It sounded a little weird, a 4:00 pm dentist appointment, but when in Mexico. Dr. Eduardo came out front personally to take me into his modern, well-appointed office where the cleaning began. Forty-five minutes later, presto all done. Had I closed my eyes, I would never have known the difference between a Canadian office or this Mexican office - the only difference - my total charge was $600.00Peso or $30.00 for a cleaning. Guess where my next visit will be. We went to a local printing house today and I've ordered two blown-up, canvas prints of my recent Mayan Museo trip and one of the main drag in Progreso to see what they will look like on a wall. For one picture 4 feet x 6 feet in length and the other 3 feet x 6' feet in length was $40.00, I think that regardless of how they look, they will look fantastic on the wall at this price. I'll just have to build the rack to stretch these and then if they work out, I'll get them framed at one of the local establishments here. All in all a good day. Nine days to go and we'll be in the air on the way home. God I've missed the rain L O L.

Sandra The doctor dentist cleaned your teeth!! That's amazing!!
Les and Irene good to see you both happy "roughing" it down there. I just viewed all your posts all the way back to the beginning, quite the adventure! It's raining often here (surprise!) but have been out on the land starting the spring clean up, the hummers and robins are back, we had our 1st outdoor fire the other day. This AM Irene went out to go to work and found a scruffy coyote sheltering in the equipment shed. Spring is here! Good timing on your return to the great white north. Look foreward to hearing about your adventures over a glass of wine. Safe trip ho me Les And no, I am not a robot!
