...Having a Mini Adveture. House hunting. Job search...
One of the fun things I've been up to today is going to an event called Mini Strike. Rather than having a display at the Motor Show Mini decided to be a different and set up a ten pin bowling themed racing track. A professional driver sped me around these huge inflatable pins, reaching silly speeds and doing handbrake skids… was so much fun.
Other than that this week I've been foot slogging all over Sydney looking at tons of rooms and going for interviews for all types of jobs. I've been offered work with a promotion/sales company, in hospitality doing boardroom & silver service waitressing and another doing administration work. Decided the sales promotion work wasn't right for me but attended an induction for the waiting staff role and am going to see what the administration job is like next week. Now I'm travelling there are endless possibilities and opportunities.
I'm currently staying in a backpackers in the heart of Sydney, 790 on George Street. It's a newly refurbished place so has all mod cons and is decked out quite nicely. And being located where it is means I can go off missioning to anywhere. Which has been needed with my search for somewhere to live.
The rooms vary greatly in style, size and location. And it's obviously all dependent on housemates too and benefits of the home. I'm still searching as I haven't found anything that's quite right at the moment but it's been interesting trekking around the various suburbs getting a feel for Sydney and the cultures here.
