... Birthday Beach Barbie. Celebration at Govindas...
What a way to celebrate my birthday!
Yesterday I turned 24 and I've done my very best to party in true Aussie style. A typical birthday for me would be brass monkey conditions in the middle of winter. But as my whole worlds upside down I'm celebrating in glorious sunshine at the beach.
As most people were at work yesterday I had the main celebrations today but wanting to make sure the actual day was memorable I headed down to one of my favourite beaches to enjoy the fantastic weather.
Mim joined me at beautiful little Tamarama where we jumped waves and topped up our tans. And then in the evening Chloe joined the two of us at Govindas restaurant and cinema in Darlinghurst.
This place is quite unique as you enjoy a Hari Krishna meal and then go upstairs to the boutique cinema and crash out on the bed like sofas whilst watching a movie. It was a wonderful experience and definitely something different to mark my birthday. Afterwards we enjoyed some drinks at the trendy Darlo bar.
Then today I celebrated with the great Aussie tradition of a beach barbie down at Bronte. To be even more cliché we had shrimp & kangaroo and I had a bevvy whilst cooking up the feast. It really was a birthday that I'll never forget.
