My Hotel stay in Nagasaki was going to be at another Chisun Hotel. I had stayed in a Chisun hotel in Kumamoto which was a compact room so I was expecting the same. Pleasantly I was surprised to have a bigger room with some unique features. The hotel was easy to reach one tram stop south of Nagasaki station. When I went up to the room which was on the 8th floor it was modern and quite spacious compared to last nights Chisun hotel. Not only was there room to walk around the double bed and leave luggage, it was spacious with a nice skyline view, and had a strange bathroom setup. As you enter from the hallway there are two rooms on either side. One is the toilet room with an electronic toilet. To the other side of the entranceway is the shower room. The shower room was nice in that it had a choice of two bathing styles. Either western style bathtub or asian style sit down stool. Strangely the sink was in the bedroom next to the desk with the tv. This seemed a bit strange running out from the toilet to wash your hands, and I hoped the door handles were being cleaned. This seemed rather bizzare. Was it some kind of water dispenser to fill your drinking glass or was it some form of modern art showing the mechanics of how the flush system works? The second time I went to use the toilet my natural instinct was to wash my hand. But rather than go to the sink in the bedroom I realised this water fountain was a small wash basin. It was a rather ingenious idea but does not run independently of the flush. So if you want more water you have to flush again to start the water flow. In the evening I had a good view of the skyline and a nice sunrise view in the morning. It was a very comfortable stay and priced slightly higher at $60 vs $40 the previous night in Kumamoto with the same hotel chain. There was again a choice of porno pay tv but I managed to find some english channels. Up till now all english tv had been dubbed in Japanese but I managed to find one english movie.
