This morning we left Adels Grove early to drive the 15 minutes to Lawn Hill National Park. Here there is a lovely gorge where we were going to canoe down. We spent about 2 hours canoeing down the gorge and swimming in the waterfalls. There are 3 parts to the gorge. we had to carry our canoes around some waterfalls to get to the second section and was very pituresque with the clear blue skies. Despite it being so early it was still so hot. When we were back in the bus it was 10am and 38 degrees! bac in the bus to Gregory River for lunch and a quick stop at the Gregory downs pub! there were a few houses here so obviuosly felt a pub was needed.  We also stopped at Burke and Wills Roadhouse, as we were nearing here we could see a bush fire quite close to the them. WHen we got there you could see all the bush around them was black and burnt.  We spent longer at these stops then we were supposed to so got to Croydon at 7pm, later then expected.
