This morning we packed up and said goodbye to The Wine Country Inn and Palisade Colorado. Our next destination is Glenwood Springs which is just a short drive East. This morning we managed to get up pretty early and head over to National Monument before the it got too hot. The Temperatures have been between 90 and 100 degrees every day. Lesley is loving it. The rest of us are slightly melting. National Monument is one of our National Parks and is amazing. We had a bit of a lazy morning today. It was kind of nice not to have anything planned until later in the day. Around noon we went downstairs and ate a picnic lunch. After lunch Eric drove us around Palisade so we could sample the wines they have to offer. We stopped at 5 or 6 wineries and also a few fruit stands. This morning we packed everything back into the van or the short blue bus as we have affectionately named it and said goodbye to our wonderful Kutuk condo. This morning we got a slow start. We all needed a little additional rest and honestly there is no reason to be in a hurry. We left the condo at around 11am. Destination, Strawberry Park Hot Springs.
