Before leaving Jabaru, we were both in the swimming pool at 9am to cool off for our drive.Our first stop for the day was the South Alligator River, it was so wide with muddy banks. We saw one croc. We left Harriet Creek heading north east towards Kakadu National Park. We stopped at Bukbukluk lookout, the view was fantastic and found some beautiful flora.Lots of palms, different flora. Crossing rivers, spotted our first croc, beautiful scenery. Tried to take DABUS down to Gunlom Waterfalls but after 5 km's in we decided the corrugations were too bad and shaking DABUS around too much, so turned around (we tried CUPPA).Stopped at Cooinda Lodge for a look...

After having a lovely dinner and such a quite night at the Stirling Mill camp site, we started our day by driving back to Bitters Springs for a float down the creek. Left Daly Waters Pub behind, Alan wanted to educate Lorelle on the FAMOUS Fran's at Larraimah. One of us had a beef pie while the other was a bit gamer and tried the camel pie. So a pie and drink each cost us $38.00....Yes it was an experience. Been there, done that, don't think we would stop there again, but an experience we had to have. After getting back to the Stuart Highway, travelled up to Daly Waters Pub and pulled in for two nights. Great pub, great food and atmosphere. Had Barra N beef for dinner. Meet a couple, Joy & Mike, from West Rosebud, they joined us for the first night at the pub and we look forward to catching up with them when we get back home.
