Left Daly Waters Pub behind, Alan wanted to educate Lorelle on the FAMOUS Fran's at Larraimah. One of us had a beef pie while the other was a bit gamer and tried the camel pie. So a pie and drink each cost us $38.00....Yes it was an experience. Been there, done that, don't think we would stop there again, but an experience we had to have.
Weather is now averaging 30+ degrees, clear blue skies. We went in search of some water and Mataranka Thermal Springs and Bitters Springs just did the job of cooling us off.
Pulled in for the night at Stirling Mill Rest Area, only five sites available. We were the first ones in for the night, so got a prime site.
Had a combined cookup - Chicken & Vegetable Rissotto. YUM.

cuppa Fran’s a character eh? Stopped there once with Ferg, when we did the bike trip. She was very motherly & fed us up for next to nothing. Last time it was Julie & I & we had scones & tea, & got charged an absolute fortune .... but with Fran you just pay whatever she says ......... ot take your chances! :)
