This week was UCC's Raise and Give Week (R&G), which is their annual fundraising week. UCC's Student Union coordinates different events to raise awareness and money for different charities. The week last year raised 20,000 Euro for three well-known charities, Breakthrough Cancer Research, the Cope Foundation, and the Children's Ward at Cork University Hospital. Today was the Colour Dash at UCC, where we all dressed in white and got ready for a run where colors would be tossed at us. The events for R&G Week are all fundraisers, so we made donations and joined the run. It was also Ash Wednesday, so we went to the Church on campus to get our ashes. My next planned trip is Dublin this coming weekend!
