Hey, clothes driers are good.
Haven't got one at home.
Did my washing and looked for the clothes line.
Found it in a square white box with k*** on the front.
Wow!
( not quite as big a 'Wow!' as my other 'Wows!' have been ...but a 'Wow!' nonetheless.)
So had a very lazy day in Balham.
Did my washing.
Went to the station and bought a return trip to Cardiff for Wednesday...returning Friday.
Wandered down the street...into a shoe shop...and bought a pair of boots.
Yep...figure I need boots now, Simone and Brooke.
Don't think I am wearing them here though....
Just wanted them for home.
Dan was home today, Megs but he had a quiet day too.
Lovely sunny day here....very foggy this morning.
Organised small case for Cardiff.
I get home from the Battlefields Tour after midnight tomorrow night...
Then up at 6.30am to catch the tube to Paddington Tube Station (!) to catch the connecting train to Cardiff.
So I figured I'd better be organised.
Then I wandered down the street again.
Everything is so close here.
The tube station is just at the end of the street....and every type of shop you could want is just around the corner.
And...I bought another pair of boots.
Yep.
Seriously worried about the case situation now...
And I haven't even been to Cardiff yet.
Oh well.
I'll figure something out.
It's 7.15pm and I am in this beautiful comfy bed....
Only a couple of pictures today.
The first one is of the sunset last night from Meagan's window.
Spectacular !
It's an attic window...
And 3 stories up so a bit hard to get to the outside to get it clean.
But the view is great!
32 steps, Megs.
I saw some pictures on Facebook of you at the wedding!
You looked stunning!
So glad it all went well.
That's it.
Bought tissues for tomorrow ....going to be a very emotional day, I'd say.
Xxx

Daryl What a Londoner you are...just popping down the street to buy stuff for your day trip to the continent. Did you have tea and scones with jam and cream at a quaint little café? I think if I was popping down the street from my London place I'd do that. Well, I would if I wasn't coeliac.Looking back it's probably a good thing the itineraries were so tight on those tours. Given your track record when presented with a lay-day it's a little frightening to think how many pairs of boots you may have ended up with!Would love to be doing the battlefields tour with you but not sure if tissues come in a big enough box for the both of us.Daryl x
Katrina Hi Carolyn I have been watching a new show on TV called Inside Claridges. Could you pop down to Claridges and have a cup of tea for me. Apparently it was a favourite of the Queen Mums.So glad you are having such a wonderful time. I am exhausted just reading it.Keep travelling safely.
Megs I'm so glad that you're having an amazing time there and that the housemates are treating you well! I think you would have already done the battlefield's tour by now, I can't wait to hear about it! It's pretty incredible to think that so many streets this year have visited not only the green fields of France but also Albert's grave! As for the wedding, thank you, it was a spectacular day, absolutely loved it!! Enjoy Cardiff and give my love to The Doctor! Love Megs xx
Hann So many boots! It sounds like you're having such a great time and I'm almost convinced you've learned to turn left and right on this trip ;) a seasoned traveller indeed. I hope the battlefields were as special for you as I imagine them being. Loved the pic from Cardiff. Could you feel the the aura of Captain Jack? Such fun. Lots a love. Hann
