Hey this travel stuff can wear you out.
Had 12 hours sleep last night.
Very comfy bed, Meagan....thanks!
Ok....
Yesterday.
Up at 6am....bus 7.45am.
Said goodbye to Cardiff.....very reluctantly as you can imagine.
Bath.
How amazing is Bath!
Had a wonderful time here.
The weather was sunny.
Toured the old Roman Bath house.
Loved it.
Had to pinch myself.
Wandered round the town...saw inside the magnificent church right near the baths.
Just a beautiful city.
Then an hour later...STONEHENGE!
Hey...to be there was amazing.
Walked all around the perimeter ....great view from all angles though.
There was a hot air balloon in the distance above the stones.
Then we were circled by an old bi-plane.
Just added to it all.
I loved this. The stones just looked incredible.
I lapped people on the circuit just so I could get back to my favourite view.
And there I stood....just looking.
Did not want to leave.
This has happened a few times...
David
The Parthenon
Eiffel Tower
Just kept looking back for that last look.
Anyway, dropped off in London at 3.45pm...taxi to Meagan's by 4.30pm.
No one home....
So I went grocery shopping and sent them all a message saying the strange lady had landed.
Thanks for all the phone numbers Meagan!
And the great notes on things to do!
Oh...and the chocolate.
Met Aura and Dan later.
Then Andy this morning and Nicola after Covent Garden.
After a very long night's sleep....I caught the Tube to Leicester Square and walked to Covent Garden.
The guys working at the rail stations are so helpful and friendly....
And I was called 'Darlin'....4 times before 10am...
Covent Garden Market is amazing.
The building is spectacular to start off with...it's glass roof a standout.
Walked the stalls...no antiques there though, Mum.
Antiques are Mondays.
Had a ball though.
And there are street performers on every corner...surrounded by huge crowds.
And they were great.
A beautiful sunny day today.
Walked around the streets round Covent Garden...then back on the Tube.
And I need a rest I have decided.
Tomorrow, Monday will just stay here.
Look up things to do in London and basically catch my breath....
Then Tuesday....the Battlefields Tour!
The bus tour of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales was fun...and saw things that I just loved, and know places I would like to revisit.
We had a group that had a lot of fun together.
And so many laughs.
But it was harder because it was just the 8 days.
So much to see...so little time.
